Thanksgiving helping in the NFL As Chicago, Dallas and New Orleans win

Image
Hey, all I know last year I did a thanksgiving review in the NFL. But because it's America's version of the Premier League boxing day matches with multiple games on TV I thought that I would do another review especially as all of the games have playoff implications. The first game was the Chicago Bears vs the Detroit Lions, the second game was the NFC East match between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. The last match was the red-hot New Orleans Saints vs the Atlanta Falcons. Khalil Mack making big headlines since his signing before the season The Bears were walking into the game in charge of the NFC North division with the lions at the bottom of the same division. However, they had to start their second-string quarterback Chase Daniel after sustaining a shoulder injury on Sunday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings. One of the headlines was Matthew Stafford going against a top defence which features defensive player of the year contender Khalil Mack...

England take on world cup hosts at Twickenham and fight hard for the win

Image
Hey, all I usually don't do rugby, but with the England team playing next year's Rugby World Cup hosts at Twickenham I thought I would do the match. After beating South Africa two weeks ago and narrowly losing to New Zealand, last Saturday England hosted the team that created headlines by shocking South Africa in Brighton 34-32 3 years ago with the current England coach Eddie Jones. Japan had autumn that impressed the neutrals, and they faced a tough match against New Zealand but put in a performance that impressed the All Blacks coach in 69-31 defeat in which Japan scored 5 tries. Last time Japan played in Europe, they drew 26-26 to France. Danny Care running in for the opening try. Eddie Jones made 11 changes to the team that started the defeat to New Zealand. One of the significant changes was a debut for Joe Cokanasinga from Bath. Both co-captains, Owen Farrel and Dylan Hartley, were on the bench. This made fly-half George Ford captain on his 50th cap for England. Jap...

England cruise to win in Sri Lanka

Image
Hey all so I thought I'd do something completely different this time a review of England cricket's test match in Sri Lanka. I know it's something I haven't done, but this time I thought I'd try and do a sport that I haven't done on this blog. England was coming into the series after victory against Pakistan and India in the summer and a dominant ODI series marred by the monsoon season rainstorms shortening the matches and winning the only T20 international. If you'll be wondering why you might see scores like 100-4. The number on the left is the number of runs scored, and the one on the right is the number of wicket's lost. This was the first of 3 test matches in the series. Ben Foakes had a perfect start to his Test career scoring 107 With the first test match being played in Galle which featured its fort wall at one end of the ground, it was shown as one of the most picturesque grounds to play at. With the monsoon dampening the pitch before the m...
