England are in a 3rd semi final in a year!!!! This time it's the Lionesses

What a night in Le Havre. England's Lionesses took on 1995 World Cup Winners Norway with a semi-final against either the hosts France or USA in Lyon on the line. The last time these two played in the World Cup was at the last 16, 4 years ago in Canada. The country's gone crazy for the women's world cup with England's performances even Glastonbury was showing the match live because of Georgia Stanway's brother being at the festival and Stanway putting in a Twitter appeal. The one change for England was Demi Stokes for Alex Greenwood. That was good because they were concerned about the fitness of their centre backs Steph Houghton and Millie Bright and also having to deal with a virus in the England camp. One of the big headlines was Jill Scott tying Peter Shilton's record of caps for England, a record that stood for 30 years. Six of the best for Liverpool in a steamy night in Madrid

Saturday night was Europe football's biggest night of the season. The UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham. The final was held in Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. The teams are coming in with different experiences and histories of finals. Tottenham was entering their 5th ever European final, but this is the first time that they are in Europe's top competitions final. Meanwhile, Liverpool is in their 9th final and are back looking to finish the job that they started last season. Both teams had difficult roads to the final, and no one would say they would be in the final by October. Semi-final hero Lucas Moura coming on for Spurs Spurs were staring elimination by the end of matchday 3 after being in 3rd place with 1 point.
