Thanksgiving Triple-Header 2017

Hey, all Happy Thanksgiving Day. I know it's celebrated in America but the NFL has the biggest day of the season until the Super Bowl with 3 games in one day. Yes, 3 matches and a tradition that started since the 1930's when Detroit was given an opportunity to play a game on Thanksgiving Day by a local NBC radio station to the whole country and it carried onto the onset of world war II and after the war was over Detroit was given annual games. In 1966 the Dallas Cowboys wanted a spot on Thanksgiving day to try and get as many fans into their stadium as they couldn't fill the stadium on a Sunday. They held it until 1975 when the game was given to the St Louis (now Arizona) Cardinals. In 2006 the NFL added a third game which has become a big success and this has been the format for the last decade. NFL international series review October

Hey, all It's been another crazy month of NFL International Series football this time at the home of Rugby Twickenham. The two games were the LA Rams vs the Arizona Cardinals, and the last game was the Minnesota Vikings vs the Cleveland Browns. This time the games featured none of the Anthem protests that dominated the headlines at Wembley. Also, this was the second year that the games were being played at Twickenham to make it easier to organise and see if that another stadium could play NFL games rather than having to make it difficult for Wembley. Twickenham hasn't been a fan favourite because of the transport in terms of getting to the game compared to Wembley. Also, some fans haven't seen it as a right place because of the cultural argument between American football and Rugby here in the UK. The first game was the Rams and the Cardinals, which was the only game to kick off at 6 o'clock in the evening to make it easier for the teams home fans to watch the game....
